10月15日を迎え、じわじわ冷えてきた秋の朝。今日のInktober公式お題は「RAGGED」——日本語だと「ぼろぼろの」。何を隠そう、こういう“傷”がある言葉には創作の血が騒ぎます。
「ぼろぼろ」と聞いて最初に浮かぶのは、戦い抜いてボロ切れみたいになった旗や服、泥だらけの勇者。あるいは、ギザギザで不揃いな音、不規則で揺れる呼吸。“RAGGED”は単なるモノの状態じゃなく、戦いや再起の物語を孕んでいる言葉ですよね。
【テーマを「RAGGED = 物語の傷痕」に決めるまで】
まずはMidjourneyさんと「ぼろぼろの旗を掲げた最後の戦士」のファンタジー路線でスタートしたものの気持ちは右往左往。
実は一度「スチームパンク！嵐後の飛行船甲板！」という誘惑にやられて、超絶美麗な飛行船も生まれました。

……でも、これが「ぼろぼろ」の要素があまりにも“さりげな過ぎ”て（笑）。旗も帆もピカピカだし、乗り越えた傷痕が伝わってこないのです。
「やはり“RAGGED”は、傷と闘いと“誇り”がちゃんと見える方が面白い！」
と軌道修正して、再び王道ファンタジーRPGへ。やっぱり直感は大正義。

解説は別記事でもしたけれど、「–ar 16:9」で映画っぽさを、「–style raw」で質感のズレをごまかさず“本物の傷跡”をちゃんと残す——これが今回の最大技でした。

最初は「エピック・シンフォニックメタル」で王道に疾走！と思っていましたが……
「ケルト・バラッドも捨てがたい」
「いや、ここは雰囲気最優先でアンビエントか……」
結果、最終形は**「ダークアンビエント（Dark Ambient）」に歌詞を添えた、戦場の余韻と魂の傷を“ざらついた静寂”で描く一曲**となりました。
